Friday 9 September:

Morning session

    1. Crossed presentations of 26 citizens
    2. Sub-groups work on the following questions:
      • Question 1: Do you have any question concerning the project as well as its approach ?
      • Question 2: What does sustainable development and better quality of life mean to you today ?
      • Question 3: Please state in general which measures related to sustainable urban development you will find "acceptable" and not "acceptable"

    2. Presentation of Rudolf Zunke, Urban Planning Department of the City of Vienna
    3. Sub-groups work on the following questions:
      • Question 4: Having heard this presentation of the City of Vienna, what does surprise you compared to your City ?
      • Question 5: Did you and how did you participate in the development of your city (or any city) in the last five years ?
    4. Reaction to the answers of the Groups by the representative of Vienna.
    5. Question 6 (to each citizen): Please state in one word your impression of this first day of the citizens' conference

    Saturday 10 September:

    Morning session

    1. Presentation of Ovidiu Romosan, Impact Consulting, on City of Tomorrow Research Projects
    2. Plenary discussion: how to make our task clear and feasible ? We need information in a Mickey Mouse version, i.e. easy and understandable for lay people
    3. Presentation of Robert Lechner, City of Vienna, Local Agenda 21 Committee
    4. Sub-groups work on the following questions:
      • Question 7: Could you please give your view on the acceptability of the Agenda 21 approach of citizens involvement ?
      • Question 8: Please state what of the things that you have just heard surprises you ? Please comment on that
      • Reaction to the answers of the Groups by the representative of Vienna Agenda 21

    Afternoon session

    1. Question 9 (to each citizen): Please state in one sentence what you think about the Agenda 21 project in Vienna, which has been presented this morning ?
    2. Question 10 (each citizens to provide a score between 1 and 10): Do you understand to importance of research on city governance at the European level ?
    3. Question 11 (each citizens to provide a score between 1 and 10): Do you understand the content of the research on the City governance that has been discussed until now ?
    4. Sub-groups work on the following questions:
      • Question 12: What are the questions I have in order to increase my understandin from 5 to 10 ?
      • Question 13 (to be answered by both individual work and sub-groups): What do you understand the objectives of the citizens' conference to be ?
    5. Question 14 (to each citizen): To finalise this day and the first RAISE workshop in Vienna, please state in one sentence the reason why you feel happy and/or unhappy in this particular moment.
